Bloodhounds are famous for their ability to sniff out just about anything. From hunting to law enforcement work, this nose of this breed is famous. They have been known to help locate missing persons and identify evidence.

Bloodhounds are also affectionate dogs that make good companions for the right home. Just remember that their noses will lead them anywhere and everywhere, so keep them leashed. You might also want to carry a drool rag for their droopy jowls. Learn more about Bloodhounds and decide if the breed is for you. If you love Bloodhounds, tell us about it here.

Gifts with dogs and owner

There are just ten shopping days left before Christmas - have you checked off everything on your gift list? Some of us like to buy presents for our dogs (or friends' dogs, for that matter). Sure, pets don't really get the concept of holiday gift giving and all the festivities, but I think the point is that it's fun for us. Personally, I have a blast watching my dog tear open her gifts! Plus, she loves the cheap squeaky toys, so buying her gifts won't break the bank. Looking for some presents for the dogs in your life? Check out my dog gift guide for a few ideas.

Now on to gifts for the humans. Sometimes it's hard to find just the right thing to give to friends and family. Fortunately, finding great presents for the dog lovers in your life can be pretty simple. I put together a list of some of my favorite gift ideas for dog lovers. Just about everything here that I don't already have is on my personal wish-list (especially the dog art, hint hint).
